INDIAN INSTITUTION OF PRODUCTION ENGINEERS (IIPE)

The INDIAN INSTITUTION OF PRODUCTION ENGINEERS (IIPE) was started in April 1977 with the objective of promoting the cause of Production Engineering in India.

Shri A.K. Saxena, Managing Director (Retd.) HAL, Bangalore Complex, and Past President of BMA, Vice President of AIMA and past Vice Chairman of CII Karnataka, has taken over as the National Chairman of IIPE for 2007-09 during the AGM held on 07/07/07 from Shri M.S.Zahed, Past chairman

With its head quarters at Bangalore, today IIPE is an ace professional body with a number of Centres spread over the country, and has over 1500 members.

Indian Institution of Production Engineers (IIPE) offers five types of membership apart from Life Membership. The basic categories of IIPE membership are Fellow, Member, Associate Member, Student and Affiliated Organisation.

IIPE publishes a quarterly journal MT&M – Manufacturing Technology & Management, and a monthly newsletter IIPE-Manufacturing News.
