OUR OBJECTIVES

  • To provide a common forum for exchange of information for practicing engineers in various aspects of Manufacturing Engineering, Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM), Computer Numerical Control (CNC), Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM), Robotics, Automated Manufacturing, Production Planning, Computer Aided Process Planning, ISO/TS Quality Management Standards, TQM, TPM etc.
  • To publish periodicals, newsletters and journals of literature, monographs, thesis etc., relevant to Production Engineering and related fields.
  • To organize National / International Conferences, Seminars, Workshops, Conventions, Training programmes, lectures etc., of topical interest from time to time.
  • To establish scholarships, hold examinations, grant prizes for essays and papers, organize research works, and by any other similar means to enlarge the knowledge and to further the scope and practice of Production Engineering.
  • To establish, form and maintain libraries, collection of models, designs, drawings, books, articles in connection with the development and improvement of Production Engineering discipline.
  • To maintain liaison / contact with industries, R&D organizations, Institutions of higher learning, and with similar institutions in India and abroad.
  • To establish and operate Regional Centres in India as well as abroad.
 
IIPE presently, has Centres in Bangalore, Chennai, Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, Ranchi, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Mysore, Nashik, Vadodara, and Chandigarh.
